9 DAY - KENYA IN STYLE (Book Now)
Day 1: NAIROBI On arrival into JKIA you will be met and transferred to your Hotel located in Nairobi’s heart. The Norfolk Hotel has played a leading role in Kenya's colourful history, and continues to be Nairobi's finest and best-known luxury hotel. The town and later the modern city of Nairobi grew up around The Norfolk hotel, which still has its own private tropical gardens. The hotel is still the traditional starting point for safaris and the Lord Delamere Terrace is modern Nairobi's most famous meeting place, where drinks and light meals are served continuously from morning till midnight. Accommodation - The Norfolk Hotel Day 2: NAIROBI - MERU NATIONAL PARK (B / L / D) From Nairobi you will be whisked away to Meru National Park, staying at Elsa’s Kopje, which is almost invisible to the eye as you approach its home on Mughwango Hill. It blends into the rocky crags of the “kopje” (small hill), built above the site of George Adamson’s original campsite. Every cottage is the ultimate ‘room-with-a-view’, uniquely designed and crafted, incorporating the natural features of the rocky hillside. Each cottage has spacious double or twin beds with en suite, elegantly appointed bathrooms. There is an open bar, lounge and dining room with an exceptionally inviting infinity pool overlooking the Meru plains. After lunch at the lodge, you will set out for an afternoon game drive in Meru National Park. Accommodation - Elsa’s Kopje Day 3: MOUNT MERU NATIONAL PARK (B / L / D) Rise early and take a morning game drive
before breakfast when wildlife is at its most active. A relatively small park,
Meru is part of big protected area along the Tana river, which also encompasses
the Kora National Park and several other National Reserves. Popular within the
park are large herds of elephants, reticulated giraffes, buffalos, hippos and
cheetahs. On the odd occasion the shy white rhino will make an appearance with
today’s number estimated at around 40 within the area. Leopards have also been
spotted, but like always are hard to spot. Accommodation - Elsa’s Kopje Day 4: MOUNT MERU NATIONAL PARK - AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK (B / L / D) Take a scheduled flight back to Nairobi.
Fulfil your appetite at the Carnivore restaurant before transferring to Amboseli
National Park on an afternoon shared charter flight. Day 5: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK (B / L / D) A traditional bush breakfast awaits for
you in the morning before the first game drive of the day. Without a doubt,
Amboseli is a photographer’s paradise with the snows of Kilimanjaro, white and
crystalline forming a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya’ most spectacular
displays of wildlife – lion, elephant, rhino, cheetah buffalo and a host of
plain’s game. Accommodation - Tortilis Camp Day 6: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK - MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE (B / L / D) Leave the magic of Amboseli behind and
transfer to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, renowned for some of best game viewing
in the world. Transferring on a scheduled flight you will arrive just in time
for lunch at Sanctuary’s Olonana. This award-winning tented camp is situated on
a private stretch of the Mara River, at the foot of the impressive Siria
Escarpment close to where the famous last scene from "Out of Africa" was filmed.
Located close to the border with Tanzania, the game concentration is high - and
during the annual wildebeest migration, the action happens right on the camp's
doorstep. Accommodation - Olonana Tented Camp Day 7: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE (B / L / D) Rise early and take the option of a
balloon safari across the Masai Mara. Take off in the crisp morning air, only to
experience a game-viewing adventure with an entirely different perspective. As
you silently float across the plains, forest and rivers for approximately an
hour, your journey comes to end back on land but accompanied with a fully cooked
champagne breakfast. Accommodation - Olonana Tented Camp Day 8: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE (B / L / D) Depending on the time of year, we set out early morning for the breathtaking spectacle of ‘the greatest wildlife show on earth’, the awe inspiring annual migration of the wildebeest. The Mara is technically an extension of Tanzania’s renowned Serengeti National Park, but its rolling grasslands, meandering rivers and towering escarpments an endless amount of game viewing. Home to a wide variety of animals, the Mara is also famous for its Big Five. For the bird lovers there are over 450 species that have been identified in the Masai Mara Ecosystem. Depending on the game drive we’ll drive back to the lodge for a late lunch, only to return again to the reserve’s open plains late afternoon for more game viewing and sundowners in the bush. Accommodation - Olonana Tented Camp Day 9: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE - NAIROBI (B) It may be the last day of safari however your game viewing does not stop. After breakfast, experience an on-route game drive to the airstrip. Transfer to Nairobi on a scheduled flight for connection of your onward international flight.
