10 DAY - PIONEER EXPLORER (Book Now) (Tented Pioneer Safari) This is a wonderful wildlife experience through the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park. A place where Hippos and Crocodiles laze in crystal-clear waters, and huge herds of Elephant, Buffalo, Impala and Red Letswe roam the grassy floodplains - a truly wild place. We have an excellent chance of spotting Lion, Cheetah, Hyena, as well as many of the more than 400 species of birds. Then onto Victoria Falls, one of the seven wonders of the world, (Mosi-oa-Tunya) "The smoke that thunders”.

10 DAY - PIONEER EXPLORER Day 1/2: OKAVANGO DELTA (Full Board)
We begin our journey by taking a charter flight into the Delta. and explore the channels and lagoons by mokoro (dugout canoe) and on foot The Okavango is a unique ecosystem, an inland delta situated in the middle of the largest stretch of continuous sand in the world – the Kalahari basin. This wetland lies like an oasis in an otherwise inhospitable landscape. Where land and delta meet, a mosaic of pans, grasslands, forests and lagoons provide an extremely rich and diverse habitat where a multitude of animals and birds flourish. This wetland is one of the natural wonders of the world, and is a fragile ecosystem that remains one of the world’s least spoilt and most beautiful wildernesses, and is home to various unique species e.g. sitatunga antelope and red lechwe. Day 3/4: MOREMI GAME RESERVE (Full Board) Charter flight into Moremi – one of Africa’s most beautiful reserves. We explore the area with extensive game drives. Moremi Game Reserve is situated in the eastern corner of the Okavango Delta. Moremi is one of the most beautiful and varied reserves found on the African continent with huge concentrations of wildlife and incredible scenery. The reserve consists of both swamped areas e.g. Xakanaxa, and dry-land areas e.g. Khwai. Day 5/6: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK (Full Board)
We head further north en-route to Chobe National Park, were we spend the following two nights camping in an exclusive wilderness campsite in the Savuti region, exploring the dessert-like landscape of game drives. Savuti, famous for the dry marsh, sand ridge and volcanic hills which are unique to this area. The marsh once contained the waters of the Makgadikgadi superlake, and the most typical feature of the landscape are the dead trees – evidence of the erratic flow of the Savuti channel over the years. The area consists of large open game-filled plains, and is home to a variety of dry-land animals, including zebra, wildebeest, kudu, giraffe, wild dog, leopard, cheetah and lion. Day 7/8: NORTHERN CHOBE (Full Board) Leaving this parched landscape, we continue our journey north to the contrasting Chobe region of the park. The Chobe National Park is one of Africa’s finest game sanctuaries. Situated in the far north of Botswana, Chobe encompasses a wide variety of diverse habitats offering extreme contrasts, and is home to a breathtaking variety of animals and birds. Chobe is famous for its abundance of elephants – the highest concentration of elephants to be found anywhere in the world. Chobe is also famous for it’s huge herds of Buffalo, for it’s rich birdlife, and for it’s exquisite sunsets – a wildlife experience not to be missed. Day 9: VICTORIA FALLS (Full Board)After breakfast and a morning game drive we travel to Victoria Falls . Partake in a afternoon tour of the Victoria Falls. One of the seven wonders of the world, (Mosi-oa-Tunya) "The smoke that thunders" , is truly a breathtaking sight with the water of the Zambezi river falling into the gorge at 100 million liters per minute. Accommodation: Matetsi Water Lodge Day 10: TOUR ENDS (B)Safari ends after breakfast, in Victoria Falls.
