THORNTREE RIVER LODGE
Set inside the Oa Tunya National Park, Zambia, 12.5km from Livingstone, a few
kilometers upstream from the famous Victoria Falls, Thorntree River Lodge known
as home of the elephant - offers a riveting bush experience with breathtaking
views over the Zambezi River.

Meals are served al fresco African style, quietly under the stars on a private
and secluded section overlooking the river, or in the main lodge where guests
interact socially around the communal dining room table with flickering candles
in true African tradition and spirit, sharing their days experiences and travel
stories, reminiscing on the lives of famous explorers.
Thorntree River Lodge offers stimulating wildlife adventures: up-close and
personal encounters with elephants; cruises on the Lady Livingstone, a
three-decker vessel perfect for viewing hippos and crocodiles; walks with lions
in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and Masuwe Estate; hikes in the rainforest on the
lip of the falls chasm; helicopter 'Flight of Angels' trips with fabulous vistas
of the falls, river and its many islands; picnics on Livingstone Island; game

The main lodge area is perfectly positioned to offer guests spectacular views of
